Wholesale (Bulk) Pricing

Wholesale pricing lets you reward customers who buy in bulk with a lower price per item. You set it once on a product, and Strawlo automatically applies the right price at checkout based on how many they buy.

A common example: "Buy 12 or more and pay less for each one."

To set it up, open a product (Products → Add product, or edit an existing one) and find the Wholesale prices section.

How to set it up

In the Wholesale prices section, you add one or more tiers. Each tier is just two numbers:

Min. quantity — how many they need to buy for the lower price to kick in.
Price each — what each item costs at that quantity.

So a tier reads as: "From 12 pieces → ₵40 each."

You can add several tiers for bigger discounts at bigger quantities:

Quantity bought	Price each
1 – 11	₵50 (your normal price)
12 or more	₵40
50 or more	₵35

The highest tier the customer reaches is the one that applies — so 49 items get ₵40 each, and 50 items get ₵35 each.

What the customer sees

On the product page, the customer sees a small "Bulk pricing" list, and as they change the quantity the price updates by itself:

Choose 5 → ₵50 each (with a hint: "Add 7 more to pay ₵40 each").
Choose 12 → the price drops to ₵40 each.

It keeps working in the cart too — if they increase the quantity to 12 in the cart, the discount applies automatically. Whatever price they qualify for is what they pay, and it shows on their receipt and your order details.

Example 1: A product without variants

You sell a water bottle at ₵20 each. You add one tier:

From 24 → ₵15 each

What happens:

A customer buying 10 pays ₵20 each = ₵200.
A customer buying 24 pays ₵15 each = ₵360 (instead of ₵480).

Simple and done.

Example 2: A product with variants (e.g. sizes or colours)

You sell a T-shirt that comes in S, M, L — and you set one wholesale tier:

From 12 → ₵40 each

Here's the important part: wholesale pricing is for the product as a whole, not per size. The variants (S/M/L) are just the customer's choice — the wholesale price is the same flat rate once they hit the quantity.

Buy 12 Large → ₵40 each (even if Large normally costs a bit more).
Buy 12 Small → ₵40 each too.

One thing to know: the quantity is counted per size, not added up across sizes.

12 of the same size → wholesale price ✅

6 Small + 6 Large (12 in total, but 6 of each) → not wholesale, because neither size reached 12 on its own ❌

If a customer wants the bulk price, they should buy 12 (or more) of one size.

Tips

Set the wholesale price lower than your normal price (and lower than any variant prices). The tier price is a fixed amount — it doesn't automatically pick the cheaper option, so make sure it's actually a discount.
The minimum quantity must be at least 2 (a tier of 1 would just be your normal price).
You can add as many tiers as you like — e.g. a small discount at 12, a bigger one at 50.
It's optional. If you don't set any wholesale prices, the product just sells at its normal price as usual.
