Understanding Your Payouts
Every time a customer pays on your store, the money flows through our payment processor, Paystack, and is settled directly to your bank account or mobile money wallet. There's nothing to request and no waiting around — payouts are automatic.
The short version:
- Funds are released within 24–48 hours of a sale — most often within 24 hours.
- There's only one fee: Paystack's 1.95% processing fee. Strawlo takes no cut.
To view your payouts, click Payouts in your sidebar.
Payouts Dashboard
Your Payouts page shows four key metrics at the top:
| Metric | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Total Sales | Your total revenue from all paid orders, with order count |
| Settled | Amount already paid to your bank/mobile money account |
| Pending | Amount being processed — settles in 24–48 hours |
| Total Fees | Paystack processing fees deducted from your sales |
These numbers give you a real-time picture of your money flow.
How Payouts Work
When a customer pays on your store, here's what happens:
- Customer pays — Via card, mobile money, or bank transfer
- Paystack processes — The payment is verified and confirmed
- Paystack fee is deducted — The 1.95% processing fee is taken automatically
- Settlement — The remaining amount is sent to your bank or mobile money account, usually within 24 hours
You don't need to do anything — settlements happen automatically. You don't even need your own Paystack account; Strawlo sets up and manages your Paystack subaccount for you.
When You Get Paid
Payouts are processed and released within 24–48 hours of a sale — and most of the time, you'll have your money within 24 hours.
A successful payment today typically lands in your account by tomorrow. In a few cases it can take up to 48 hours — for example, when a sale happens late in the day, over a weekend, or on a public holiday, since banks and mobile money networks settle on working days.
You don't need to request these payouts. There's no "withdraw" button to press — it's fully automatic.
Example: A customer pays you ₵250 on Monday morning. By Tuesday, ₵245.13 (after the 1.95% Paystack fee) is in your account.
The Only Fee: Paystack 1.95%
There's just one fee on every sale — and it's not ours.
Paystack Processing Fee — 1.95%
Paystack is the payment processor that securely handles your customer's money, whether they pay by card, mobile money, or bank transfer. Paystack charges 1.95% per transaction. This is standard across all businesses using Paystack in Ghana — it's not something Strawlo adds on top.
Strawlo Platform Fee — ₵0
Strawlo does not charge a platform fee on transactions. You keep 100% of your sale minus Paystack's 1.95% processing fee.
What You Actually Keep
Your share = 100% − 1.95% (Paystack) = 98.05%
| Sale amount | Paystack fee (1.95%) | You receive |
|---|---|---|
| ₵100 | − ₵1.95 | ₵98.05 |
| ₵250 | − ₵4.88 | ₵245.13 |
| ₵500 | − ₵9.75 | ₵490.25 |
| ₵1,000 | − ₵19.50 | ₵980.50 |
The Total Fees card on your Payouts page shows the total Paystack fees deducted from your sales, so you always know exactly what you're paying.
Payout Statuses
Each payout has a status:
| Status | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Success | Funds have been deposited to your account |
| Pending | Settlement is queued and will be processed soon |
| Processing | Settlement is currently being processed by Paystack |
| Failed | Settlement failed — check your bank/mobile money details |
If you see a Failed status, verify your payment settings (bank account number or mobile money number) in Store settings → Payments.

Quick Tips
1. Check Payouts Weekly
Make it a habit to review your Payouts page weekly and confirm settlements are arriving in your account as expected.
2. Export Monthly for Accounting
Download a CSV or PDF at the end of each month for your financial records. It makes tax season much easier.
3. Watch for Failed Settlements
If you see a failed payout, check your bank/mobile money details immediately in Store settings → Payments. A wrong account number is the most common cause.
4. Price With the 1.95% in Mind
Use the Total Fees card to understand your true margins, and factor the 1.95% into your pricing.
5. Use Mobile Money for the Fastest Access
Mobile money settlements are quick and reliable — funds usually reach you the same or next working day.
Frequently Asked Questions
When do I get paid?
Within 24–48 hours of a sale, and usually within 24 hours. A payment today typically lands in your account by tomorrow. It can take up to 48 hours when a sale happens late in the day, over a weekend, or on a public holiday.
Do I need to request a payout?
No. Settlements are fully automatic — there's no withdraw button to press. As long as your payment details are set up, your money is sent to you automatically.
What fee do I pay?
Just the Paystack processing fee of 1.95% per transaction. Strawlo charges no platform fee, setup fee, or withdrawal fee. On a ₵100 sale you receive ₵98.05.
Can I change where I get paid?
Yes. Update your bank or mobile money details in Store settings → Payments. Future settlements will go to the new account.
What if a payout fails?
Failed payouts are usually caused by incorrect account details. Go to Store settings → Payments, verify your account information, and save. The next settlement should go through.
Are Pay-on-Delivery orders included in payouts?
No. Pay-on-Delivery orders are paid in cash directly to you. Only online payments (card, mobile money, bank transfer, payment links) appear in your payouts.
Do manual orders appear in payouts?
No. Manual orders are recorded as already paid outside Strawlo, so they don't go through Paystack and don't appear in payouts.
How do I handle refunds?
Refunds are arranged directly between you and your customer — Strawlo and Paystack don't process them for you. If a customer wants a refund, they contact you directly, and you decide whether to give one based on your own return policy and how you run your business. You then send the money back to the customer yourself, for example by mobile money or bank transfer.
