Analytics and Insights

Your Analytics page is where you can see detailed information about how your store is performing. It shows you who's visiting your store, what they're buying, and where they're coming from.

To access your analytics, click Analytics in your sidebar menu.

Key Metrics at a Glance

At the top of your analytics page, you'll see four important numbers displayed in colorful cards:

Visits

This shows how many people have visited your store. Every time someone opens your store page, it counts as a visit. A higher number means more people are seeing your products!

Purchases

This is the number of orders customers have completed. It tells you how many times someone actually bought something from your store.

Conversions

This is your conversion rate - the percentage of visitors who made a purchase. For example, if 100 people visited your store and 5 bought something, your conversion rate is 5%.

A higher conversion rate means you're doing a good job turning visitors into customers.

Revenue

This shows how much money you've earned from sales. It's displayed in your local currency (like GH₵, ₦, R, or KES depending on your country).

Filtering by Time Period

You can view your analytics for different time periods. Click the dropdown at the top of the page to choose:

  • All time - See your complete store history since you started
  • This year - Data from January 1st to today
  • Last 30 days - The past month (this is the default view)
  • Last week - The past 7 days
  • This week - From Monday to today
  • Today - Just today's data

This helps you spot trends and see how your store is growing over time.

Visits Chart

Below the metric cards, you'll see a line chart showing your visits over time. This visual graph makes it easy to:

  • See which days had the most visitors
  • Spot patterns (like if weekends are busier)
  • Notice if your marketing efforts are bringing more people
  • Track growth trends over weeks or months

Hover over any point on the chart to see the exact number of visits for that day.

Traffic Sources

This section shows you where your visitors are coming from. Understanding your traffic sources helps you know which marketing efforts are working.

What You'll See

A table and pie chart showing:

  • Referral Source - The website or platform that sent visitors to your store
  • Visits - How many people came from that source
  • Purchases - How many of those visitors bought something
  • Conversions - The percentage who made a purchase
  • Revenue - How much money came from that traffic source

Common Traffic Sources

  • Direct - People who typed your store URL directly or used a bookmark
  • facebook.com - Visitors from Facebook
  • instagram.com - Visitors from Instagram
  • google.com - People who found you through Google search
  • twitter.com - Traffic from Twitter/X
  • whatsapp - People who clicked your link from WhatsApp

Using This Information

If you see that Instagram brings you the most sales, you might want to post more on Instagram! If Facebook brings many visitors but few sales, you might need to improve your Facebook content.

Top Products

This section shows which of your products are performing the best. It helps you understand what your customers love.

What You'll See

For each product:

  • Product Image - A small picture of the product
  • Product Name - The name you gave it
  • Visits - How many times people viewed this product
  • Purchases - How many times it was bought
  • Conversions - Percentage of viewers who bought
  • Revenue - Total money earned from this product

Using This Information

  • High visits, low purchases? Maybe the price is too high or the description needs work
  • High conversions? This product is a winner! Consider featuring it more
  • Low visits but high conversion? Try promoting this product more - when people see it, they buy it!

Countries

This section shows where in the world your customers are located. You'll see:

  • Country name - Each country that has visitors
  • Visits - How many people visited from that country
  • Purchases - How many bought something
  • Conversions - The purchase rate
  • Revenue - Money earned from that country

This is helpful if you're thinking about which countries to focus your marketing on or considering international shipping options.

Latest Orders

On the right side of your analytics page, you'll see your 5 most recent orders. For each order, you can see:

  • Customer name - Who placed the order
  • Order number - The unique order ID
  • Time - When the order was placed (like "5 minutes ago" or "2 days ago")
  • Total - How much the order was worth
  • Status - Whether it's been paid (shown in green) or is still pending (shown in yellow)

Click "View all" to go to your full Orders page.

Your Wallet

The Wallet tab shows information about your earnings and payouts.

What You'll See

  • Your Currency - The currency you receive payments in (with a flag)
  • Your Earnings (Last 30 days) - How much you've earned recently

  • Platform Fee - The small percentage Strawlo takes (shown so you know exactly what's deducted)
  • You Receive - The final amount that goes to your account (shown in green)

Your payouts are automatically sent to your connected bank account through Paystack.

Tips for Using Analytics

  1. Check weekly - Make it a habit to review your analytics at least once a week to spot trends early.

  2. Compare time periods - Look at "This week" vs "Last week" to see if you're growing.

  3. Focus on conversions - Getting more visits is great, but improving your conversion rate (turning visitors into buyers) is often more valuable.

  4. Track your marketing - When you post on social media or run a promotion, check your traffic sources afterward to see if it worked.

  5. Watch your top products - These are your bestsellers. Make sure they're always in stock!

  6. Learn from countries - If you see lots of visits from a country you don't ship to, you might be missing sales opportunities.

Understanding Your Numbers

Here are some benchmarks to help you understand if your numbers are good:

  • Conversion rate of 1-3% is typical for new stores
  • Conversion rate of 3-5% is good
  • Conversion rate above 5% is excellent!

If your conversion rate is low, try:

  • Improving your product photos
  • Writing better product descriptions
  • Making your prices more competitive
  • Adding customer reviews to build trust
